Joséphine Douet
Joséphine Douet was born in Normandy. Her series “Péages” was made in 2009 in Spain. She followed the famous bullfighter José Mari Manzanares during a season, close to his intimacy. "The Secret sits" is a project on great master Andrew Wyeth (1917-2009), commissioned by the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid. Joséphine Douet followed Wyeth's footsteps to retrace an intimate relationship and capture something of the mystery and essence of Wyeth, for which purpose she walked among the hills of Chadds City and made contact with its inhabitants.
